Town of Canterbury – Delegates to State Conventions

A certified list of party-endorsed candidates for the Democratic Party and Republican Party in the Town of Canterbury for participation as delegates to the conventions specified below of said Party, is on file in my office at 1 Municipal Drive, Canterbury, CT, and copies are available for public distribution. 

 Democratic Conventions:  Democratic State, State Assembly District 47, State Senate District 29, Congressional District 2.

 Republican Conventions:  State Assembly District 47, State Senate District 29, Congressional District 2.

**DUE TO THE CORONAVIRUS, THE TRANSFER STATION HOURS ARE TUESDAY AND SATURDAY 8AM TO 12 PM FOR HOUSEHOLD TRASH AND RECYCLABLES ONLY. THESE HOURS AND RESTRICTIONS ARE TEMPORARY.**

Your current blue transfer station sticker will NOT expire on April 30, 2020. We are honoring the current sticker until further notice. We will notify the public when new stickers are available for purchase at the Town Hall. The new stickers, when issued, will be $20.00 and will expire on April 30, 2022.

The Town Hall is closed to the public, however, if you have business that can not be conducted online or over the phone, please contact the appropriate department to scheule an appointment. 

The Canterbury Public Library is closed.

The regularly scheduled meetings of the Board of Selectmen are on the first and third Tuesday of each month at 7:00PM.
