Canterbury Town Newsletter - October 2017 Edition - Now Online

The Canterbury Newsletter - October 2017 Edition is now online and can be found under the "Town Newsletters" tab, along with previous editions.


Effective Tuesday, September 12th, the Town Hall and Public Library Hours of Operation are as follows:

Monday: Town Hall: 9:00 am to 5:00 pm;   Library: CLOSED

Tuesday & Wednesday: Town Hall: 9:00 am to 5:00 pm:  Library: 9:00 am to 7:00 pm

Thursday: Town Hall 9:00 to 6:30 pm;  Library 9:00 am to 8:00 pm


Saturday:  Library: 9:00 am to 2:00 pm

These shortened hours are due to financial constraints placed on the Town due to the State still not having an approved Budget.


PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE - Cellco Telecommunctions Tower to be located at 46 Cemetery Road.  CT Siting Council will be conducting a Public Hearing in regard to the proposed telecommunications tower at 46 Cemetery Road on Tuesday, December 12, 2017 in the Community Room at Town Hall. Refer to the Public Hearing Notice under the "Selectmen's Office" of the Canterbury website for additional information.

Elementary and Middle Schools are located within the Town. High school students have a choice of Board of Education approved high schools which provide a broad spectrum of educational opportunities. A wide range of extremely active and involved civic groups and services provide many recreational and educational activities throughout the town.
