A Public Hearing will be held on August 9, 2018 at 7 pm for proposed amendments to the Canterbury Zoning and Subdivsion Regulations.  These amendments can be viewed under Planning & Zoning - downloadable documents or under Land Use Office.

Shred Day - Saturday, June 30, 11:00am to 1:00pm

Town Meeting - Thursday, June 14, 7pm, a Town Meeting will be held at the Municipal Building to discuss the FY 18/19 Municipal, Education and CIP budgets. 

Budget Referendum - June 18, 2018, from 6am to 8pm to be held at the Municipal Building.

Senior Exercise Class - Tuesday and Thursday, 9:30am, exercise class is held at the Town Hall...cost $2.00 per session.

Town Hall and Public Library Hours of Operation are as follows:

Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday: Town Hall: 9:00 am to 5:00 pm:  Library: 9:00 am to 7:00 pm

Thursday: Town Hall 9:00 to 6:30 pm;  Library 9:00 am to 8:00 pm

Friday: ALL CLOSED

Saturday:  Library: 9:00 am to 2:00 pm

RAFFLE AND BAZAAR PERMITS - Pursuant to Public Act 17-231, effective January 1. 2018,  the First Selectman's office will be issuing permits for raffles and bazaars being held in the Town of Canterbury.  Detailed information is available at the Selectmans office or from the Department of Consumer Protection, ct.gov/dcp.
