IRS tax information can be found on the Town's web site under "View or Pay Your Tax Bill" Choose the IRS option OR you may get a printed statement for a fee in the office.

*Send your payment(s) by US mail to Canterbury Tax Collector, P.O. Box 27, Canterbury, CT 06331. Make checks payable to Town of Canterbury and enclose a self-addressed stamped envelope to have a receipt sent back to you.

*Put your payment(s) in the drop box located at the front of the Town Hall building. It is checked twice daily. Make checks payable to Town of Canterbury and enclose a self-addressed stamped envelope to have a receipt sent back to you.

*Pay online. Click “View or Pay Your Tax Bill” on the home page of theTown of Canterbury website.

Nestled in Northeast Connecticut's beautiful "Quiet Corner", 314 year old Canterbury comprises a rich mix of historical tradition, a wide variety of tradespeople and small businesses, unique ecological features and beautiful vistas within its 40.3 square miles. A current population of 5088 is housed along 68 miles of Town Roads and 20 miles of State Roads.

Elementary and Middle Schools are located within the Town. High school students have a choice of Board of Education approved high schools which provide a broad spectrum of educational opportunities. A wide range of extremely active and involved civic groups and services provide many recreational and educational activities throughout the town.
